Animal lovers are quick to tell you just what it is that makes their beloved animal so special, and we can only imagine what Ben would have to say about his beloved mare as he set off to find the perfect stallion to make her a mother.

It would come as no surprise that Ben would feel immense joy and excitement when Felicia was expecting a foal. Little did he know that this journey into equine motherhood would take an unforeseen turn, leading to a situation so shocking that it would involve the intervention of the authorities.

What was supposed to be a joyous time quickly turned into a rather sinister and surprising experience that Ben himself wouldn’t have been able to predict even if he had tried. After all, his focus was on Felicia and her impending due date.

As time drew closer for Felicia to give birth, Ben couldn’t help but feel that something was amiss. With the long wait for the birth fraught with much uncertainty, Ben turned to the professionals for help with his beloved mare.

Ben called a veterinarian, arranging for him to arrive on a motorcycle in order to skip the traffic. His attention was clearly on the distressed mare, Ben was eager to get the veterinarian to his home as quickly as possible.

A visit from the veterinarian, armed with his ultrasound machine, soon confirmed that Felicia’s pregnancy was anything but ordinary as what Ben and the vet witnessed on the screen left them shocked and wondering just what was happening inside the mare.

Finding something that shouldn’t have been there, the veterinarian had a legal obligation to make the heartbreaking decision to call the authorities, placing Ben under scrutiny for what had been discovered in Felicia’s belly along with her unborn foal.

It wasn’t long after the phone call that law enforcement officers arrived on the scene. And while Ben tried his utmost to remain calm, the officers’ demeanor was clear to see – they were more than just a little concerned about the call that they had received.

Ben couldn’t understand why the authorities were called. What had gone so wrong with the pregnancy that it would warrant a call to the authorities? And just what had the vet spotted that would lead to this rather rash decision?

Felicia, by now, was starting to get distressed, and we don’t blame her. We, too, would be fearful if we were suddenly surrounded by the authorities. The veterinarian, in his efforts to calm the poor mare, did what he knew best and sedated her. And then the questions began.

A distressed mare is difficult at best. Add in pregnancy, and you have a potential recipe for disaster that could quickly turn into a dangerous situation for both the mare and her unborn foal, and this veterinarian wasn’t taking any chances.

Before we carry on with this story, it’s necessary to go back in time to before any of this happened and learn a bit more about Ben and his favorite horse, Felicia. The ideal mare, Felicia, was the epitome of health, making her the ideal candidate for motherhood.

It’s not uncommon for horses to have personalities of their own, and when it came to personality, Felicia was as gentle and loving as they come – a rare delight for lucky Ben, who adored his beautiful, healthy mare and doted on her.

Not only was she beautiful, but she was graceful, too, capturing Ben’s eye from the very first moment he saw her. Once she was in his possession, Ben would visit the stable frequently, only cementing the bond he shared with the beautiful creature.

Felicia would want for nothing, with Ben regularly making changes to her stable to ensure that she was as comfortable and happy as could be. There was nothing that Ben wouldn’t do for his beloved Felicia, giving her the life she so deserved.

When the time came to find a stallion for Felicia, Ben found the process to be lengthy and arduous. He had high standards for his mare’s mate, and he abandoned his search more than once as no stallion was good enough for his Felicia.

A good stallion is hard to find. Ben needed to consider breeding, temperament, and pedigree when it came to choosing the right stallion that would inevitably father Felicia’s foal – a difficult task considering how much he loved his horse.

Finally, after a long and seemingly endless search, Ben found the ideal stallion for his beloved Felicia. A meeting was arranged between the horses, and the rest, as they say, is history. At least, that’s what Ben thought as Felicia’s pregnancy was confirmed a short while later.

This was just the start of the process for Felicia, as she was pregnant for no less than 330 days, or just short of 11 months., which is a bit longer than the average human pregnancy. Ben wasn’t worried, he knew Felicia’s due date would come around soon enough.

The wait for any baby, be it human or equine, is a joyful and exciting time, and Ben was happy when the veterinarian confirmed that both Felicia and the foal were in very good health and that there were no issues detected.

Ben, like many other horse lovers, had her pregnancy confirmed via an ultrasound, with the veterinarian paying close attention to the foal’s development and looking out for any abnormalities.

As time passed, Ben couldn’t shake the feeling that things were not as they should be. The bond between Ben and Felicia was so profound that he could detect even the slightest changes in her behavior and mood, and it was only a few months into her pregnancy that her behavior raised concerns.

While slight changes in behavior are normal, Ben did what any good horse owner would do and took note of even the slightest changes in behavior and mood. Then again, who could blame a mare for getting a little cranky while carrying a foal?

She soon started exhibiting lethargy, refused to leave her stable, and almost stopped eating altogether. Concerned for Felicia and her foal’s well-being, Ben once again reached out to the vet for guidance. Luckily, that’s just what he got from his veterinarian!

The veterinarian assured Ben that Felicia’s changes in mood and behavior were nothing to be concerned about and that they were considered a normal part of the process. This news immediately put Ben at ease, and he was once again focused on ensuring that Felicia was well taken care of.

He thanked the veterinarian for his assistance, making notes about the things he should look out for, and busied himself with giving Felicia the extra attention and love she would need to get her through the last few months of her pregnancy.

As Felicia’s pregnancy progressed, Ben continued his preparations for the impending birth. He made adjustment after adjustment to Felicia’s stable, ensuring a comfortable environment for both mare and foal. Anticipation built as Felicia’s belly swelled with the growing life inside her.

Mares, too, suffer from the usual aches and pains that human women do, making Felicia grumpy, a bit moody, and tired. And thanks to Ben’s changes to her stable, she could enjoy the rest of her pregnancy in complete comfort.

Finally, the moment Ben had been waiting for arrived. He could at last see the signs that Felicia was in labor and hurriedly readied her stable for her delivery. Armed with a mobile phone for emergencies, he waited anxiously for the birth, expecting it to unfold naturally and without a hitch.

Ben paid close attention to the signs he had come to learn about to know that his beloved Felicia was nearing the end of her pregnancy. And when the time finally came, he knew that he wanted to be right by her side.

As time passed, however, it became apparent to Ben that something was wrong. He could see that Felicia was in distress and that she was experiencing difficulty in labor. Ben had no choice but to call the vet, unaware of what was to come from this one phone call.

Ben called the veterinarian, giving him all the details of Felicia’s condition and noting that something seemed off. While this was a great idea to ensure Felicia’s safety, it would be the start of a nightmare for Ben.

Something was amiss. What exactly that was would soon be determined, and it was something that no one had expected to see – especially in the belly of a pregnant mare. As he zoomed in on Felicia’s belly, the doctor was taken aback.

The veterinarian was quick to point out a bulge on the ultrasound – one that shouldn’t have been there – causing him to grow more concerned that something was very, very wrong with Felicia and her soon-to-be foal.

What could be causing this bulge? And how could Ben have missed this while looking after Felicia so lovingly the past few months while she carried her precious foal? Was this his fault? And would this be the end of Felicia?

A closer examination of Felicia’s belly revealed an abnormality. Ben noticed an odd bulge on the ultrasound – a protrusion that didn’t fit the expectations of a typical pregnancy. Still, Ben had no idea what this meant and why the authorities needed to be there.

Now, looking at a rather massive bulge in Felicia’s stomach, Ben and the vet were more than concerned about what they saw. And while Ben wanted nothing more than to be with Felicia, he had questions to answer.

While the veterinarian prepared Felicia for emergency surgery, the authorities cornered Ben. They asked him a few rather strange questions that all but shocked Ben. From details of the stallion to his involvement with the initial breeding, the authorities were eager to know every detail.

Why would they ask him such a question? Just what was it in Felicia’s belly that would call into question his ownership of his beloved horse? And would he lose her, or the foal that was about to be born?

With the authorities questioning Ben, the veterinarian pushed on with his surgery, delivering a healthy foal to Felicia. But what came next would shock not only him but Ben and the authorities, too, as he pulled something out of the mare’s stomach that shouldn’t have been there.

Felicia’s surgery was over almost as soon as it had started. With a new foal now in the world, the authorities were desperate to solve the mystery of the bulge and determine who was to blame for it.

Inside Felicia’s now open belly was a microchip. This discovery would lead to a few more questions by the authorities for Ben. Thankfully for him, however, the discovery of the microchip meant that he was off the hook. Unfortunately, many questions surrounding how it got there still remained.

Who would place a microchip in the mare? And what exactly was it for? The authorities seemed to know what they were looking at – as if they had seen it before. Their line of questioning quickly changed course, and they presented Ben with something new.

It was then that the authorities produced a series of mugshots, asking Ben to look at each one carefully to determine if he recognized any of the people’s photographs placed before him. It wasn’t long until one face stood out from among the rest.

Could this be the man responsible for the issue at hand? And just where did Ben remember him from? With his mind still on Felicia and her newborn foal, Ben racked his brain for answers to the authorities’ questions.

As Ben looked more closely at the face before him, he remembered the man staring back at him. It was none other than the owner of the stallion that would ultimately impregnate Felicia, making him the father of her foal.

How dare this man hurt his beloved mare and think that he could get away with it?! And, more seriously, how could Ben have been so blind to the man’s over-eagerness to impregnate Felicia with his stallion? Had he caused this?

The man in the photos had a history of performing botched procedures when impregnating mares. While the authorities had made previous attempts to apprehend him, they were unable to secure enough evidence to hold him – that is, until this incident.

This was just the evidence they needed to finally make a case against this horrible man and possibly put him away for a very long time. Ben was elated that he was cleared of any wrongdoing. Now, he could once again focus all his attention on his mare and her new baby.

The authorities were able to uncover the man’s awful plan. He would impregnate the horse, implant a microchip, and then claim that the mare was, in fact, his. This would make the foal his property, too. Thankfully for Ben, the plan would unravel, and it was determined that Felicia was Ben’s property.

Ben would be able to keep the foal and its mother safe and sound in his stables while the authorities built their case against the perpetrator. Ben thanked the authorities for their assistance, and the veterinarian expressed his gratitude, too.

This was just the evidence that the authorities needed to nab this evil man and put an end to his cruel spree. Doing so meant saving many more unassuming mares and their owners from the horrors of his botched procedures.

Who knows how many mares and their foals would have suffered in the future were it not for Ben and his unending love for Felicia? It just goes to show that anything is possible when you take the time to know and love your animals.

Felicia went on to make a full recovery, and her foal was born healthy and strong. Ben, only too happy and relieved that the nightmare is over, continues doting on his beloved mare and her newborn foal, lavishing them with the love they deserve.

Ben knew he’d made the right decision that day and called the best person to help him determine what was wrong with his mare. While it was a stressful day, only good things came of it.

The authorities went on to locate and apprehend the man responsible for this terrible ordeal. The foal was deemed the legal property of Ben. Luckily, he was under no obligation to surrender it to the authorities.

While we don’t know what came of this story, we do know that the perpetrator paid for his crimes. We just hope that it was for a very long time and that he learned a very hard lesson about hurting animals for his own personal gain.

It took a lot of love from Ben – and the expertise of the veterinarian – to know that something was amiss. The hard work and dedication of the authorities allowed them to bring down the evil man. And, boy, did they do just that!

With the evil man now locked up, Ben could focus on giving Felicia and her new foal the life they deserved, free from harm. But we can bet he didn’t dare think of finding another stallion to impregnate his beloved mare again.

This wacky tale shows just how deep the bond between a horse owner and their mare can go. Through the ups and downs, Ben’s love for Felicia ensured a feel-good ending. Her miraculous foal’s arrival brought joy, and justice was served!
